Parish Nurse Ministry Seniors & New Parishioners Parish Athletics Charitable Organizations Youth Groups Respect Life Committee

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Before you were born I set you apart..." (Jeremiah, 1:3)

Actively promoting respect for all human life is the responsibility of every Catholic. The parish Respect Life Committee assists this mission in a special way by making the parish a center of life. We strive to help those who are most vulnerable - especially unborn children and those who are seriously ill or dying - by meeting the needs of mothers and families in times of spiritual and emotional crisis.

Please contact naerivera@yahoo.com for more information on our outreach services or joining our group.

"I have been young and now am old,
yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken."
(Psalms, 37:25)

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS, Incarnation Council #8826: We are a very active council involved in a variety of community service projects including blood drives, support of vocations, and fund-raising and assistance for youth camps and parish activities. Our group is open to all Catholic men over the age of 18. Monthly meetings are held the 2nd Sunday of each month, with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel followed by the business meeting at 7:00 p.m. Please visit the official Knights Of Columbus web site for more information on our national organization.

PROJECT OUTREACH: Food staples, school supplies and toiletries are collected each month for our less fortunate neighbors in Fayette County. Donations are accepted in the Fellowship Hall under the bulletin board, and are picked up after the last Mass on the first weekend of the month. During Advent we have an "Angel Tree". Each angel ornament on the tree identifies a person's age, gender and an item they would like to have for Christmas. Parishioners are invited to take an angel off the tree and replace it with the wrapped item. These are then delivered to the recipients in time for Christmas.

FOOD PANTRY: The Parish office maintains a food pantry stocked with non-perishable items donated by parishioners. The pantry assists those in temporary need in and around our parish community.

HELPING HANDS: This program is designed to assist parishioners in temporary need, including preparing and delivering meals for those with a serious illness, hospitalization or death in the family. Emergency babysitting is available as well as transportation to and from doctor appointments for those unable to drive. Additional volunteers are always needed for this valuable service. The contact person changes monthly and is listed in the Sunday bulletin.

"You have made known to me the
path of Life; You will fill me with
joy in Your presence."
(Psalms, 16:11)

The mission of the Parish Nurse Ministry is to enhance the overall health of the parish community through needs assessment, by developing appropriate health programs and support groups, and by making medical referrals when necessary.

The parish nurses currently provide blood pressure screenings after at least one Mass each week, and provide information in the Sunday bulletin about important free or low-cost medical services and screenings as they become available elsewhere in the Memphis metropolitan area. There is also an interesting medical or health article from our parish nurses in each monthly parish newsletter.
