The Ministry of Hospitality- Mission and Vision Statement

The Catholic Church of the Incarnation is establishing a Ministry of Hospitality in the recognition of our desire to make Incarnation a “House where all are welcome,” and where all people can truly feel at home sharing the Lord’s abundant blessing on our community. Hospitality is a pillar of Stewardship and Faith Formation. The following is the Ministry’s mission statement.  

Mission

The Hospitality Ministry is one of reaching out in dedicated service with the welcoming spirit of genuine inclusion to all of our brothers and sisters in Christ in accordance with Incarnation’s mission statement to bring Christ, the Eucharist, and the Sacraments to every parishioner so that they may become Apostles to the Collierville community  

Vision

Ministry of Hospitality will make a significant contribution to the pastoral plan’s vision, value statement, and goal of building a welcoming and inclusive faith community for all.

    As Stewards, the Hospitality Ministry will include the current usher team and be expanded and open to all parishioners to generate an open, welcoming, and flexible environment as they respond to God’s call to meet the needs of others.     

    A  Welcome Table will be an integral part of this ministry’s outreach and communication with parishioners by creating a ‘Living Bulletin” encounter.

    New Parishioner registrations at this Welcome Table will go through a new formalized welcoming process.

    Hospitality would become a major presence with new and existing parishioner orientation, outreach to existing and inactive members, orientation to parish ministries and opportunities, social life, funerals, and other key areas of parish life.

    Members of this ministry will be a training ground for future parish leaders in this and other ministries leading to greater involvement on the part of the participants in this and other areas of parish life.

    This ministry will be encouraged to continue and develop their faith life, stewardship, hospitality, and communication skills as loving disciples.

    A core team will be established to lead this ministry fostering evangelization, welcoming, and hospitality.
