Adult Choirs and Cantors:

The Adult Choir leads the singing at various masses and at other special celebrations. Weekly rehearsals are held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday evenings, September - May, and 45 minutes proir to mass on the days when they sing.  They endeavor to perform a wide variety of sacred music from traditional Latin to contemporary.  New voices are always needed and welcome. No experience is required.

Cantors sometime lead the singing at mass.  Cantors are required to attend a Cantor’s workshop sponsored by the Diocesan Liturgical Ministry Institute.

 

CONTEMPORARY CHOIR:

The Contemporary Choir focuses on newer music with a variety of instruments.  They sing in different styles from solo or duet, to four part harmony.  This choir is open to everyone, regardless of experience.  We practice on Tuesday’s from 8:00 – 9:00 PM in the choir room.

  

HANDBELL CHOIR:

The mission of this ministry is to provide beautiful music for the worship liturgy through the use of Handbells.  Handbell music is played by ringing precisely together, and promotes teamwork, mutual respect and dependence on one another.

 

 

MEN’S CHORUS:

The men’s  chorus is open to men of all ages.  No experience is necessary, just a willingness to sing.  We concentrate on singing traditional music.  Practice is on Tuesday’s from 7:00 – 7:50 PM in the choir room.

 

 

HISPANIC CHOIR

The Hispanic Choir serves at the noon mass on the third Sunday of each month.  They practice on Wednesday’s from 7:00 - 8:00 PM with the Adult Choir in the choir room the two weeks prior to the mass.  Anyone who speaks Spanish is welcome.

 

 

YOUTH CHOIR & TEEN CHOIR:

The Youth Choir is for young people in grades K-6. Members of the Teen Choir are in grades 7-12.  Each provides music periodically for Sunday liturgical celebrations throughout the year, including Christmas.  All have weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays.

 

ICS  School Choir

The ICS choir is open to all students from grades 2 through 8.  They serve at Mass every Thursday morning while school is in session and they serve our parish at Sunday Mass once a month. 

Rehearsal is after school on Tuesdays from 3:00 - 4:00 PM.
