cursillo

Men's Group & Women's Group

Cursillo groups are friends in Christ and meet weekly to discuss how Christ is working in their lives. The Cursillo movement gives a precise method on how to follow Christ through each participant’s interior life of Piety (Holiness), Christian Study (Formation) and Action (Evangelization). The main purpose is to form and sustain a Christian Community in all of their environments.

Men meet on Saturdays at 7 AM in the Fellowship Hall.

knights of columbus

Men's Group

The Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 to bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled, and needy members of the community and their families. We are a worldwide organization of Catholic men building a bridge back to faith. We do it to be better husbands, fathers, sons, neighbors, and Catholics.

To be a member, you must be at least 18 years old and a practicing Catholic. And joining is easy. Simply click here and complete the registration form. Use MTOWNSEND as the agent referral to get a year of free membership. Our meetings are held on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. 

We host the Lenten fish fry's to fundraise for the youth group, quarterly pancake breakfasts for parishioners to get to know one another, holy hours and special masses and many other parish/community projects.

witnessing hope to others

All are welcome

Witnessing Hope to Others is a speaker series beginning in September 2025 and ending in May 2026. We welcome you to join us as we deepen our encounter with Jesus Christ as a parish family this Jubilee year 2025, as Pilgrims of Hope. Visit for an uplifting personal witness by a parishioner, engaging & prayerful praise, and fellowship in the narthex every second Tuesday at 10:30 AM and second Thursday at 6:30 PM.

Discover a place of fellowship, prayer, and service along with learning more about our Catholic Faith as we gather around the table with Mary at the head. Both men and women are welcome. Meetings are on Monday evenings at 5:00 PM in the St. Joseph Room.

Men's Group

Do you want to learn more about your faith but don't know where to start? Come and see what dozens of other men in the parish have found to be helpful and meaningful in their faith journey. Come to Fishers of Men! Meetings are every Friday morning from 6:45 - 7:45 AM in Fellowship Hall. We would love to have you join us. We look forward to you joining us soon.

young at heart 55+

All are welcome

Young At Heart Dinners are the second Saturday of each month starting at 6:00 pm in the Gymnasium for people over the age of 55. An excellent catered meal will be served. Please RSVP to Ken Boettcher a week prior to the event at (901) 846-9645. Meal payments are collected at the door by cash or check.

bingo

All are welcome

Bingo is every second Thursday of the month. It is encouraged to bring items for the food pantry as your entry fee. There are a multitude of prizes and lunch is provided.

painting class

All are welcome

Take home a beautiful piece handmade with assistance from our volunteer instructor. Painting classes last about two hours and all materials are provided. When classes are scheduled, they will be posted on our social media, bulletin, and website calendar.

angel knitters & crochetters

All are welcome

Our Angel Knitters and Crocheters group is dedicated to providing:

• Blankets for funerals and illness
• Receiving blankets for baptisms
• Lap blankets and shawls for comfort

Don't know how to knit or crochet? We'll be glad to teach you!

New members are always welcome. Bring yarn and your needles or hook and we'll provide patterns if you need. Donations of yarn are also welcome, as we are frequent visitors to Hobby Lobby.

Meetings are 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th (if there is one) Monday of each month in the St. Joseph Room

Grief Support groups offers comfort, relief, and fellowship to meet you where you are on your healing journey. All are welcome to the meetings on the first and third Monday of the month in the St. Therese Room from 6:00 - 7:30 PM.

bereavement

All are welcome

Our Bereavement ministry offers compassionate and faith-based support to families grieving the loss of a loved one. We are dedicated to providing a comforting presence and practical assistance in coordinating funeral arrangements, ensuring that each family receives the care and guidance they need during this difficult time.
